Trunfio was the winner of the Australian version of the television series Search for a Supermodel and came third in the international version. Trunfio is represented by IMG Models, as well as Viviens Australia, which is the same modelling agency as Gemma Ward, who is also from Western Australia. Ward and Trunfio are also close friends. Trunfio has modelled for various Australian as well as international designers including Valentino, Victoria's Secret, Sweetface, and Neiman Marcus. She has been featured on numerous magazine covers as well. Also in 2008, Trunfio was featured in the Australian movie, Two Fists, One Heart.
