Although Lea Michele is already 24-year-old, people seem always see her as Rachel Berry, the nice high school girl from Glee TV show that Michele played. That's why when Lea Michele done a sexy and mature pictorials for magazine, she always stirs some controversies.
Last year, her appearance on GQ magazine, wearing panties with school background, received many negative critics. Recently, Lea Michele also got many protest after she posed on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine wearing a very low V-neck black dress.
FoxNews.com interviewed a mother who claims her 12-year-old son was “confused and offended” by Michele. "I think Lea Michele is sending the wrong message. She plays such a 'good girl' on Glee and a lot of kids look up to her persona. Then she poses very provocatively on two magazine covers which makes my almost-13-year-old son very confused and offended," said a New York mom, Kim Trefcer.
“It’s irresponsible to be using an adult who represents a minor dressed in provocative clothes,” Suzette Valle, a blogger and parent of two teenagers, told Fox News. “I think Cosmo is now taking advantage of the raucous GQ caused with their Glee cover and hoping to cash in on the press that got.”
Lea Michele's co-star in Glee isn't sure what to think about this matter, "I understand both sides," says Max Adler. "I understand what the parents are saying. At the same time, Lea is over 18, over 21, and she looks great. She's a beautiful woman. I think it's up to her, but I could see why parents could get a little upset."
While Cosmo publisher, Hearst, is using the same defense GQ did last year: “Michele is a grown woman and Cosmopolitan is a magazine for adults.”
